I have used Abravocabra and More Abravocabra in my middle school classrooms for ten years. I have never found a better product for teaching and assessing vocabulary. The words are found commonly in middle school literature, and the kids love pointing out the words they find in text. There is a great emphasis on affixes, which is invaluable in teaching meaning. I love the assessments because not only do the students have to know the definitions, they have to actually use them in stories that always make them laugh. It's an unbeatable combination of high quality, useful, and enjoyable lessons.
