Most of our materials are written for English and language arts teachers, grades 5-12, to use with their students. We like to publish material that is clever, requiring thought and creativity from students—not mindless busy work. Many of our books include ideas for teachers and ready-to-use activities designed for the teacher to photocopy and pass out to his or her students.

We are not interested in variations of the same old games and ideas you see everywhere. (If we see one more game on homonyms, for example, we may scream.) We also do not use word search (word find) puzzles. We love to use materials with a humorous, lighthearted, offbeat or down-to-earth approach, the kind of material that real teachers can use with real kids.

A careful look through our catalog will help you better understand our products. We strongly suggest that you also familiarize yourself with some of the activities in our books. It is impossible to write for Cottonwood Press without understanding how our books are different from similar products on the market. Please also note that we do not publish children's picture books.
