Author Suzanne Capek Tingley has been a teacher, a principal, a superintendent, and an adjunct professor in education administration for the State University of New York at Oswego. She currently works as an educational consultant and freelance writer. She has done many workshops on dealing with difficult people for teachers, administrators, and office professionals. Two of her seminars for teachers on working with difficult parents are available through Magna Publishers (magnapubs.com). Her work has appeared in Education Week, The School Administrator, Education Leadership, Scholastic Instructor, and other publications. She received an Outstanding School Administrator award from the New York State Association of Library Media Specialists. In 2006, she was named a Woman of Distinction by the New York State Senate.
